The Louisiana Charter School Start-Up Fund provides zero-interest loans for both new and existing charter schools. The fund provides loans of up to $100,000 with terms of up to three years. The loans may be used for facility acquisition, upgrade and repairs. The state allocated $680,000 to the program in Fiscal Year 2007.
